good question..you don’t, you immediately lower your elbow back to center. that’s why in all the forms and drills, whenever your elbow comes up, it is quickly followed with it returning to the center.

Im getting a better understanding from watching your videos and im appling it in class and my wc has definately improved but still needs a bit of work especially my chi soa.
