every martial arts instructor can teach the “talking” skills, but how many can really teach you high level “listening” skills? more and more i’m realizing how important it is to talk less and listen more, especially in my daily life. I’m hoping that martial arts practitioners realize that they will most likely never have to use their training to actually defend their lives from an attacker. and realize that martial arts practice is really just “life” practice, and that “you” will be your ultimate opponent. and to overcome daily struggles of “life” takes “listening” skills.
